When trying to clear the printer of a paper jam I tugged too hard on the black ink cartridge before realizing the latch was not all the way up. If either white absorber is raised, press it down with your finger. For sometime, I was able to just shut off the printer and restart a few times and it worked fine. Is it alright to contact you for advice. (I have a HP PSC 2110 that is giving the error message and has a terrible gear-grinding noise). Walgreens told me that the reason it most likely does this is because the cartridge that was refilled has some sort of sensor in it that didn't or doesn't update itself.

The message does not specify the right or left cartridge. Hp 2210 I've had my printer for over 4 years and this is the first problem I've ever had with it. Relatch the empty carriages and close the printer. It wastes ink and shortens the life of the ink nozzles.
