Just saved myself couple hundred bucks and have lost some respect for HP. Note: This tool applies to Microsoft Windows PC's only. You have to be creative to keep your old stuff working. Make sure the appropriate product is selected, and then click Preferences or Properties. Suggestions? I have tried everything I can think of and it won't work. Hopefully this will work for you.
My thanks to all who have posted on-line the repair for this problem. Multiple cleanings might be necessary to restore printing. Color mix If the color of the patterns or bars differs from the color dots on the cartridge label, the cartridge is not functioning properly. The machine stopped and gave the Original Jam message. How does HP install software and gather data? The reliability is poor and HP's support is non-existent.

I did the reset unplug # and 3 and plug in reset and it didn't work. have a peek at these guys You will be taken to the Adobe site to download the reader. Until you find a replacement hinge, you can put a piece of heavy duty tape on the back where the hinge was. Already tried a reset with # + 3, same result.

Ink smears If the diagnostic page shows smeared ink, you might need to clean your cartridges. Cleaning all the goo off of the edges of the sled and out of the tracks it slides in (on each side) seems to have cleared it up.
