Hi,My computer suddenly went blue and told me it had shut down to avoid a failure.
originally when it was given to me there was a cd in the drive but this has been removed. I replaced the hard drive and still am getting the same error. You have already tried letting it cool down by unplugging it and it is still not recognized. http://batteryuniveristy.com/hp-error/hp-error-code-biohd-5.php I'm sorry, even if you use the recovery disk, it won't work as with the error "Reboot and Select proper Boot device", it means the hard disk drive is damaged.

I hit "Enter:Accept" The screen went black and "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER _" popped up again. Any other suggestions? Moved the new response to its own topic. The only way to solve the problem is by replacing the hard drive.
